Isn't that what the witch said in Wizard of Oz? Well I'm hardly going to call myself a witch but oh boy, I'm melting big time. It's 41.5 at the moment, which is 107F and on the odd occasions we've gone outside today it's been like being hit by a blast furnace. I think we put the AC on around 9am and it's been on all day, goodness knows what the electricity bill will be this month.
Back to work tomorrow, festivities are all over, done and dusted and back into some semblance of routine. The decorations came down today, all done by moi ! Well I put them all up myself, was there going to be any difference in packing them all up? It's like the Christmas magic fairies came in and did all the work. Hmmmph. And of course I've left the one obligatory decoration out, grrrr. Happens every year. I don't suppose a glass santa boot filled with lollies could be a year round decoration? Now I have to find room to put it away with the rest of the Christmas paraphernalia which only JUST fit back into the chest that I got them all out of.
I have finished my 2011 Book of Wisdom and just hit the order button about half an hour ago. I have been very slack in showing the pages here, mainly because I got waaaaay behind and did a mammoth scrap to catch up. And catch up I did. I'm so happy with it, but I have made the decision along the way not to do a project of this type in 2012.
In 2009 I did Project 365 and loved it, and I do believe it makes you look at things in different ways, trying to get a unique photo every day, and well practice makes perfect, like anything, we need to hone our skills.
In 2010 my big project was Mike's secret book, I'm still thrilled with pulling that off without him knowing.
In 2011 I did the Book of Wisdom as a Project 52, a photo each week to depict something that happened. I found a few of the weeks we must have had some boring moments because there's quite a few flower pages in it! I'm glad I've done it, but also glad it's over.
So 2012, I've decided no big projects. I might do some type of December Daily perhaps at the end of the year, but throughout the year I want time to catch up on individual scrapbook pages for the books I'm making for the kids, just random pages of our lives, I might put some of the pages together in some calendars for Christmas presents (oh yes, already thinking that far ahead!). I might even take some classes along the way if they jump out at me. But mainly I just want to catch up. Get my scrap goodies into some semblance of order. Get my photos into some semblance of order. Get my pages into some semblance of order. GET MY LIFE INTO A SEMBLANCE OF ORDER!!!!
Yep, feeling a tad out of control.
So over the next couple of weeks I will catch you up on my "P52 Book of Wisdom". Excuse if I've shown some of the earlier pages way back in the piece, you can just enjoy the first few all over again. Welcome to my whacky life...
Credits Designer Digitals.
Off to stick my head out the door to see if the cool change has arrived, please please please. (Oh and if any of you Queenslanders are reading this, yes I know we're soft down here!)

I heard the weather down your way today and wondered how you were coping!
You know the one thing I really really love about these pages...
it's the clean simple lines... the gorgeous symmetry and repetition of simple elements...
Makes for a STUNNING book... can't wait to see more!
I love this idea, hope you don't mind if I copy the idea?
I am back to work tomorrow too and so not ready!!! Don't think it will be a restful night, hasn't cooled down much at all yet! Love your wisdom pages!
We finally got some summer sun on Christmas Eve and the first heatwave hit on New Year's Day. Yesterday was the hottest and we reached 37°. I feel for my nephew (and my sister) who are heading for Geelong tomorrow for him to play for NSW Country in the Baseball Nationals!
Love the cover and introductory page!! Perfect!! As for the hot day... imagine what it was like for us in our tent by the beach!!! My sister arrived to set up her tent. We almost had a meltdown trying to help her!
