Happy Easter!

It's that time of year again, Happy Easter.  I hope you are spending it as you are wanting.  Whether that be with family, a chocolate fest, spending time reflecting, or whatever.   I've indulged in a couple of hot cross buns and a chocolate creme egg, and am feeling somewhat in control.  This time last year I would have been in a chocolate stupor so there has been a big mindset change there.

And because I'm on a health kick, I figure everyone else should be too, so I made an Easter Card this year and popped a caramello koala in it.  No hunking big chocolate bunnies from me this year.  I printed it out through Snapfish and it looked fabbo.

We went to the Dawn Service in town here this morning in the drizzly rain, but still it was nice, although a smaller gathering than usual.  We enjoyed the camaraderie with friends from town.  When we came back Mike decided to go back to bed, so I just pottered.  Mike didn't have a hope in getting back to sleep, as I set the smoke alarm off twice when I was toasting a hot cross bun!  Oh dear.

So you can be forgiven for thinking I've fallen off the face of the earth.  Not so, I've just been very time poor lately.  So you may ask what I've been doing the last few weeks that have been so important.  Well amongst everything day to day, I've been RUNNING!

I'm addicted.  They said it would happen and by joves it has.  And funny thing I was told that once I cracked the 5k mark it would grow quickly from there.  And it has.

Just looking at my Runkeeper my runs, all non-stop, running the entire way have gone like this, with smaller runs in between...
  • 16th March :  5.4 km
  • 19th March :  5.76 km
  • 23rd March :  6.45 km
and are you ready for it ...
  • 29th March, Good Friday : 7.81 km !!!

Although that last run I went to hit save on my Runkeeper (an app on my phone which tracks your run so you get to see your map and how you went) and I hit cancel instead.  Waaaah!  I was cursing myself and smart arsed (but well meaning husband) suggested I run it again just to get another map.  Oh how funny NOT!!

So I'll leave you with Molly and Lucky who want to wish you a Happy Easter (through their utter mortification).

Oh and as an encore, the other day Mike was feeling a bit poorly and lay down on the couch and promptly went to sleep.  This was the result.  Shhhhh don't tell!

No one is safe in our house while there are bunny ears around!!

A lot time poor here too, I hate not having just a little bit of time on my hands. But I guess that's life!
